The rolls were packed with the absolute cheapest fillers you can buy—rubbery krab, watery cucumber, and limp shredded lettuce that had no business being in sushi. No real crab, no fresh fish worth mentioning, just bulk-bin fillers thrown together like a sad grocery-store salad wrap. The cost does not justify what's actually inside the roll—it's convenience-store quality at triple the price. Worst value I've had in a long time.

This review is based mainly on the quality of the raw fish and the atmosphere. I told myself I wouldn't leave a review to keep it a secret, but I can't pass up being reviewer #420. Of all the sushi in Gainesville, THIS is the most AUTHENTIC and highest QUALITY of them all. I have been to almost all of them in Gainesville, and none have such creative, aesthetic, and edible displays when it comes to the plate you get once you fill out your order sheet. I would also like to note that after dining at most of the sushi places in Orlando, Tampa, and St. Pete, this one is still in my top three. The only downside I found was the atmosphere. The tables appear to have an older polyurethane finish, and many of them feel sticky to the touch. Hopefully I can update my review to 5 stars someday soon!

The restaurant itself felt quite small for how busy it was, which made the environment very loud and at times difficult to hear the staff clearly. While we understand it was a busy time, the service seemed a bit disorganized and communication between staff could have been better. We waited over 20 minutes with empty drinks before being able to place our food order, and the tables were a bit sticky. Drink refills also felt a little rushed and clumsy at times. That said, there were definitely some positives. The edamame came out hot and fresh, and the gyoza followed quickly—both were delicious. The chicken fried rice was a generous portion and very satisfying. However, the sushi didn’t quite match the price point, as the rolls were smaller and seemed to be mostly rice and seaweed. Overall, there were some highlights with the food, but the service and atmosphere could use some improvement to match the quality of the dishes.

I visited from out of town and ate with friends. This is one of their local favs and they wanted to have me try it. We ordered from both the sushi menu and the regular menu. The service was great. We had the hot sake, which was delicious. I ordered number 12, which was a seafood salad that was amazing. I would definitely eat here again.

Spectacular! I could not give this place a higher rating! The fish is extraordinarily fresh and the flavors are terrific. Everything from the consistency of the rice, the texture of the roe, to the visual vibrancy of the food was perfect. The pricing was very fair for the high quality of the food. My only complaint, the floors and tables were tacky. Other than that I loved every second of it.
